Is-sinjal għal LVANT NOFSANI magħmul minn żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għall-LVANT, jiġifieri, b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u bil-pala tħares laġenba. L-id timxi lura mill-ġenb tal-lemin għall-ġenb. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal NOFS, jiġifieri, l-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq. Id waħda titqiegħed bil-pala ta’ l-id laġenba fuq l-id l-oħra bil-pala tħares ’il fuq u timxi lura minn nofs bħallikieku qed taqsamha.

The sign for MIDDLE EAST consists of two parts. (i) First the sign for EAST is made, that is, with one hand in the shape of closed 5 with the palm facing sideways. The hand moves back from the right side to the side. (ii) Then the sign for HALF is made, that is, the hands take the shape of closed 5. One hand is placed palm facing sideways on top of the palm of the other hand and moves back from the middle as though it is dividing it.
